UK’s CH-47 Chinook helicopter was forced to make an unplanned landing after it hit the power lines.
A crew suffered minor injuries after UK Royal Air Force’s CH-47 Chinook helicopter hit the power line nearby Wales. The damage that occurred in the cockpit of the helicopter was spotted in the photos that were shared after the incident.
It was stated that the helicopter that was forced to make an emergency landing in a field on July 28, 2020, nearby the village of Llangynin in Carmarthenshire, Wales, was on a routine training mission. A statement from the spokesperson of Royal Air Forces said the CH-47 Chinook helicopter was slightly damaged in the incident and a pilot from the flight crew was slightly injured. According to the residents, electricity was cut off in the region for a while after the incident.
