Bayraktar TB2 UAS, which is in the inventory of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, carried out a reconnaissance flight in the Donbass region.
Yuriy Misyagin, deputy chairman of the National Security, Defense and Intelligence Committee of Ukraine, reported that Bayraktar TB2 UASs carried out a reconnaissance flight in the Donbass region and detected various targets of enemy elements. Also Bayraktar stressed that TB2 UAVs proved that Turkey was the best against Russian military equipment, especially during the “Spring Shield Operation”. Misyagin stated that TB2 has “only conducted reconnaissance flights so far” in the region.
Also he stated that among the targets detected by TB2 during flight, the Pantsir S-1 air defense missile/ gun system, S-125 air defense missile system, Tor air defense missile system, howitzer and tanks.

In March 2021, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Oleksandr Myronyuk, Ukrainian Naval Forces Commander Oleksiy Neizhpapa and Ukrainian deputy Igor Kopittin Baykar visited the defense facilities. MP Igor Kopitin, who shared the visit, said he was once again convinced that the Turkish side was firmly committed to its obligations to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
