One of Ukraine’s Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs was downed by Ukraine’s own air defense systems at evening hours. Meanwhile some sources stated that the UCAV downed was a Korsar type, Korsar family of UAVs have 2-bladed rotors while the latest iterations of Bayraktar TB2 come with indigenously 3-bladed rotors in place of 2-bladed foreign ones.
IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) capabilities hold great importance in 21st century warfare, demonstrated by past accidents such as a Russian fighter jet downing another during an exercise due to flaws with IFF.
