The SR-1 Probe Rocket developed by ROKETSAN will be launched in autumn this year.
Developed by ROKETSAN and with a payload capacity of 100 kg, the SR-1 Sounding Rocket will be launched in the autumn this year. The development was shared at the 4th Military Radar and Border Security Summit organized by MUSIAD (Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association) Ankara. In the image shared during the presentation, it is seen that an altitude of 300 km is aimed with the SR-1 Sounding Rocket.
IMECE satellite sent to America to be launched
IMECE, Turkey’s first sub-meter resolution national observation satellite designed and produced from scratch, was sent to the USA on February 22 to be launched in April. The development was shared at the 4th Military Radar and Border Security Summit organized by MUSIAD Ankara.
In this context, it was also included in the 2023 targets video shared by the Presidency of Defense Industries, which the national observation satellite IMECE will launch in 2023.
IMECE and TÜRKSAT 6A satellites will be launched in the 100th anniversary of the Republic
Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, visited the engineers and technicians of the high-definition surveillance satellite IMECE and the first national communication satellite TÜRKSAT 6A at the TAI Space Systems Integration and Test (USET) Center. Deputy Minister Kacır said, “We will send two national satellites into space on the 100th anniversary of the Republic.” He also stated that the IMECE and TÜRKSAT 6A satellites would be launched in 2023.
TAI General Manager Temel Kotil and President of the Turkish Presidency Digital Transformation Office Ali Taha Koç attended the TAI USET Center visit. Ali Taha Koç, Head of the Digital Transformation Office, made the following statements on his account: “We continue to develop our indigenous and national products in every field. We examined our high-tech satellite TÜRKSAT 6A with our Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır. We are proud of our country.”
