The SeaEye-AHTAPOT system was developed specifically for the naval platforms considering the needs of the Naval Command’s Electro-Optical Director (EOD) System, and it was made available for the use of the Turkish Armed Forces with the prototype products which were delivered in 2018, designed to be used in place of the previously delivered ASELFLIR-300D system.
The development of the SeaEye-AHTAPOT system, currently being used and the first two prototypes of which were integrated on MİLGEM’s 3rd and 4th ships, started in 2015 with ASELSAN equities. Within the scope of the agreements signed at the end of the activities which were carried out during a five-year development period, SeaEye-AHTAPOT system will have entered the service of the Turkish Navy as the basic EOD System. Among these systems, the last of which will be delivered in 2025, factory acceptance tests of the first two SeaEye-AHTAPOT systems that came out of mass production have been completed.
With a contract that amounts to 54.5 million USD; The ships in the Naval Forces inventory will be enhanced both in day and night surveillance and target positioning capabilities thanks to the high electro-optic capabilities of the SeaEye-AHTAPOT-S System
