TCG KEMALREIS participates in the 75-day Standing NATO Maritime Task Group-2 Mission

TCG KEMALREİS participated in the Standing NATO Maritime Task Group-2 Mission (SNMG-2) for 75 days between 15 February and 04 May 2021.

TCG KEMALREİS participated in DYNAMIC MANTA 2021 Military Exercises in the Ionian Sea, SEASHIELD 2021 in the Western Black Sea and PHIBEX 21-1 in the Central Mediterranean between 15 February and 04 May. The following statements were made in the post on the official Twitter account of the Ministry of National Defence;

“TCG KEMALREİS participated in the Standing NATO Maritime Task Group-2 Mission (SNMG-2) for 75 days between 15 February and 04 May 2021; DYNAMIC MANTA 2021 in the Ionian Sea, SEASHIELD 2021 in the Western Black Sea and PHIBEX 21-1 in the Central Mediterranean.”

On duty; advanced coordinated Submarine Defensive Warfare, Air Defensive Warfare, Surface Warfare, operational training and Situational Awareness were carried out with the elements of Italy, Spain, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Poland, Greece and the US Navy.



The 20 mm cannon of the German U-23 submarine were raised to the surface by TCG Alemdar

Within the context of Rescue Special Operations Training, “Surface Supply Diving Training” was carried out in Ağva / Şile on the Turkish Naval Forces TCG ALEMDAR submarine rescue ship between 03-06 May 2021. In the post on the official Twitter account of the Ministry of National Defence;

“Surface Supply Diving Trainings” were carried out by our TCG ALEMDAR submarine rescue ship between 03-06 May 2021, in Ağva / Şile within the context of Rescue Special Operations Training.”

statements were included.

During the trainings; Discovered by TCG AKIN in 2019, the “20 mm Krupp cannon” belonging to the German submarine U-23 was detected at the bottom, raised to the surface and delivered to the Istanbul Naval Museum Command for conservation.
