The first firing test of the KUZGUN-SS (Gliding) munition developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE will be carried out by TAI AKSUNGUR UCAV. In the EFES-2022 exercise, it was elicited by Defence Turk that the KUZGUN-SS ammunition was planned to be integrated into the AKSUNGUR UCAV and tested.

KUZGUN-SS, gliding configuration of the KUZGUN family, has a 28 kg warhead (2×14 kg module) and a range of 40+ km (valid for 0.2 Mach speed and 20000 ft altitude). The KUZGUN-SS is planned to be launched from land and sea via the launch engine, as well as UCAVs.
KUZGUN KY Missile fired from Marlin AUSV
The KUZGUN KY missile developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE was fired from the MARLIN AUSV. Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir said: “RF guided ammunition was fired for the first time from an AUSV with the firing of the solid propellant KUZGUN Cruise Missile from MARLIN. We are determined to go to the next level in this field as well!”. The statements of İsmail Demir indicate that the RF seeker head was used in the KUZGUN KY missile, which was fired.
The KUZGUN-KY (Solid Fuel) Cruise Missile, supported by SEFİNE Shipyard’s own resources and developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE, was successfully tested with a ballistic shot from MARLIN. The KUZGUN KY missile was fired remotely with Mission Control Station capability during the shootings attended by the Defense Industry Presidency and Naval Forces Command officials.
KUZGUN KY can be used on land, sea and air platform. It has a weight of 75 kg, a 10 kg warhead, a maximum range of 40+ km and a maximum ToT (Time to Target) of under 1 minute. The fact that the ToT is 1 minute indicates that KUZGUN-KY will reach supersonic speeds when the maximum range is taken into account (Average 666 m/s speed~ 2.24 Mach at sea level).
