According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, The Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan will participate in exercises in Turkey.
Kazakhstan Armed Forces will also participate in the Efes-2022 Exercise hosted by Turkey. The exercise is carried out at the Doganbey exercise area in the province of Izmir. Last year, the Efes-2021 Exercise was attended by the land forces, sea forces, air forces and Special Forces Command. Through these exercises, the combat capabilities of the countries will increase and their combat readiness will increase.
The exercise is aimed at improving the level of military skills and combat skills, as well as improving the combat readiness of units of special operations forces. In addition, participation in maneuvers allows you to gain experience in the organization of interaction in a particular group of troops.
The first stage is command and personnel military exercises using computer hardware and computer systems. The second stage is planned to be held in the form of practical actions in joint units with the conflict. During the active phase, scheduled for 28 May – 9 June this year, soldiers will jointly develop the skills necessary for land and naval operations. Military personnel from about 40 countries are participating in the Efes-2022 Exercise this year.
On January 19, 2022, in accordance with the instructions of President Kasım Cömert Tokayev, the Special Operations Forces Command was established within the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Defence clarified the composition of forces and equipment and the tasks and functions of the command.
Special Operations Forces are designed to handle specific tasks within the country’s defence capabilities and military security, including participation in counterterrorism operations and countering illegal armed groups.
