KALEKALIP introduced the new models of its machine guns KMG556 and KMG762 for the first time at the IDEX fair held in the United Arab Emirates. It was seen that the mentioned machine guns had a shorter barrel and folding stock compared to their standard models.
One of the introduced weapons, the KMG556CL, has a 10.5 barrel and a folding stock. Being a short-barreled model makes the gun lighter. This makes it easier for soldiers to carry. It is reported that the weight of the introduced weapon is 5.6 kg and is 3 kg lighter than the standard model.
The folding stock in the gun can be adjusted up to 5 levels, and when the stock is closed, the gun can be used very comfortably by the soldier. The effective range of the weapon is between 400 meters and 600 meters. The gun, which has 750 to 1000 rpm, works with a long stroke gas-operated piston system like the KMG556.

Another introduced weapon, the KMG762CL, has a short barrel and folding stock just like the KMG556CL. The weapon, which has an optional 16″ barrel length, has a long shot life with its easily replaceable chrome plated cold forged steel barrel.
All kinds of optics, flashlights and lasers can be attached to the gun with the picatinny rails on the gun, whose folding telescopic stock can be adjusted to 5 different levels. The gun works with a long stroke gas-operated piston system. In this context, the weapon uses 7.62×51 NATO ammunition.
