President of the Presidency of Defence Industry Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir announced that the HİSAR A+ Air Defence Missile System has been delivered with all its elements, and that the HİSAR O+ Air Defence Missile System, which destroys a high-speed target at long range and high altitude, is in the phase of mass production.
SSB President Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir shared the developments regarding HİSAR on his social media account, “Two good news from HİSAR! The HİSAR A+ system has been delivered with all its elements! The HİSAR O+, which destroys a high-speed target at long range and high altitude in warhead firing, starts mass production! Best wishes.” announced in his words.
HİSAR Air Defence Systems were developed locally and nationally in cooperation with Aselsan-Roketsan as the Presidency Defence Industry Presidency Project. The warhead was developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE. The system, which has 360-degree efficiency, can engage and fire 6 targets at the same time. While the prevention range of the HİSAR A+ System is 15 km, the prevention range of the HİSAR O+ System reaches 25 km.
HİSAR, which has the ability to work in all weather conditions, is effective against warplanes, helicopters, air-to-ground missiles, cruise missiles and UAV/UCAVs. Designed in accordance with the current needs and threats in our country, which has strategic and critical facilities, HİSAR will be a serious power multiplier in the country’s air defense.
HİSAR A+ was delivered with all its elements
After the Missile Launching Systems working in coordination with the Firing Management Device in the HİSAR A+ Project and the missiles entered the inventory, the Self-Propelled Autonomous Low Altitude Air Defense Missile System (Autonomous HİSAR A+), which includes all the necessary sub-systems to be able to function alone, was also delivered. Thus, all elements of the HİSAR A+ System were delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces.
Autonomous HİSAR A+ will perform the air defense mission of armored mechanized and mobile units. The system shines out with its ability to move in difficult terrain conditions, change positions quickly, short reaction times and perform a task alone.
HİSAR O+ to go into mass production
The HİSAR O+ Air Defense Missile System was able to destroy the high-speed target at long range and high altitude in its latest warhead fire. Thus, the system has reached the stage of going into mass production.
Developed with domestic and national resources, the HİSAR O+ System will perform point and regional air defence missions with its distributed and flexible architectural capability. The HİSAR O+ System has an organizational infrastructure in battery and battalion structures. The system consists of Fire Control Center, Missile Launch System, Medium Altitude Air Defense Radar, Electro Optical System, Infrared Seeker Missile and RF Seeker Missile.
