Turkey’s first indigenous and national air defence missele system Hisar-A+ that developed by ASELSAN and ROKETSAN, successfully destroyed the high speed target aircraft in increased altitude and range test with increased autonomous configuration.

Turkish Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that Turkey has successfully test-fired indigenously produced HİSAR-A missile in the central province of Aksaray.

The Systems of the HİSAR-A+ Project, which has an important role in Turkey’s air and missile defense, keep going to enter the inventory.

HİSAR-A Self-Propelled Autonomous Low Altitude Air Defence Missile System(Autonomous HİSAR-A+) that missile Launching Systems working in coordination with the Firing Management Device and capable of functioning fully autonomously after the missiles enter the inventory, and have all sensors, command control, fire control elements and missiles, also became ready to be used.

Autonomous HİSAR-A + Firing Tests were successfully completed by ASELSAN and ROKETSAN at Aksaray Shooting Range with the participation of the Defense Industry Presidency and the representatives of the Turkish Armed Forces.

HİSAR-A+ make a hit!

The performance increases in altitude and range in the HİSAR Projects, which are completely developed with domestic and national facilities and provide significant gains in the field of air defense, have been proved by the direct hit destruction of the high-speed target attacking at medium altitude and long range with the Autonomous HİSAR-A +.

There is not any other system in NATO that can be a model for the HİSAR-A + system. The ability of HİSAR-A+ to act together with the troops in the field is very important as a mobile system. The HİSAR-A+ system will be part of the country’s layered air defense.

Turkey’s low/medium altitude air defense capabilities:

Alternatives of HİSAR-A Systems

Although there are systems such as the old design French Crotale NG in the western wing, as in the Pantsir system, the Crotale NG system also uses the CLOS guidance principle. Therefore, mobile HİSAR-A does not have a modern western counterpart. However, Norway will integrate IRIS-T on the tracked M113 platform with the new project that it has started. The system will be the direct equivalent of HİSAR-A, when this system is produced.

HİSAR System Engagement

Systems such as HİSAR-A / O eliminate the disadvantage of angular clearance with the vertical firing principle and 360 degree instant engagement capability. Although the missile uses mid-course guidance with its data link for precise target finding after leaving the launcher, the IIR header at the terminal stage achieves high accuracy. As IIR header is not affected by ET, it constitutes an important advantage. Therefore, HİSAR-A / O systems have a more modern architecture than common Pantsir systems.

HİSAR-A+

Autonomous HİSAR A + will perform the air defense duty of armored mechanized mobile units.

The system is capable of 360° protection with its ability to move in all kinds of terrain conditions, fast position change, short reaction time, and steep firing capabilities. The system also has an ability of preventing targets without the need for any elements.

Radar, electro-optic sensors, command control, fire control elements, communication elements and missiles are located on a single armored tracked vehicle. It has the ability to work as a team and with high command and control elements.he ability to work as a team and with high command and control elements.

The HİSAR-A + missile has high maneuverability and double-impact engine technology. The high-efficiency and particle-effective warhead of the missile was developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE. Among the targets of the System, which was developed to meet the air defense needs of our country against threats at different altitudes, are fixed and rotary wing air platforms, various types of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The system that designed in line with today’s operational needs and threats, will be the serious power multiplier in air defense.
