HAVELSAN plans to use National Tactical Peripheral Simulation Software in the operations analysis of the project of National Combat Aircraft (NCA).

HAVELSAN launched the Learning Virtual Forces with Artificial Intelligence (FIVE-ML) R&D Project that will transform the National Tactical Peripheral Simulation Software (NTES), which was developed under the project of T-129 ATAK Helicopter Simulator, from the rule-based infrastructure to an artificial intelligence-based infrastructure that learns. The company plans to use National Tactical Peripheral Software in the operations analysis of the project of National Combat Aircraft (NCA).

The software of National Tactical Peripheral Simulation already developed by HAVELSAN uses various projects such as;

  • T-129 ATAK Helicopter Simulator ATAKSİM,
  • Unmanned aerial vehicle Anka Simulator,
  • Long-range antitank missile system (LRAMS) Simulator,
  • Air defense training center.

In order to provide tactical training in training simulators of combat platforms, a realistic operating environment where many different scenarios can be tried must be simulated in a cost-effective way. The behavior of virtual land, air and naval platforms that can perform the defense and offensive tasks required for the tactical training of the simulators of combat platforms can be modeled, thus providing the necessary tactical environments for simulators with the HAVELSAN National Tactical Peripheral Simulation (NTES). Simulator users can perform comprehensive tactical and operational training in a safe environment, using all kinds of warfare equipment (weapons, sensors, countermeasures, electronic warfare, communication and link systems, etc.) without risk and cost-effectiveness, due to NTES. Similarly, analysis and verification activities, which are expected to be very costly and risky in the analysis, design and test stages of the combat platforms during the development process, can be carried out cost-effectively and safely with the NTES.

HAVELSAN

HAVELSAN is among the leading companies in the world in flight and maintenance training simulators. It provides simulators equipment to Turkish Armed Forces for air, land and submarine platforms. HAVELSAN which has gained an important infrastructure for combat aircraft with its experience in developing the F-16 simulator has the capability of creating the training concept in the National Combat Aircraft Project and make the simulators ready to use.

HAVELSAN is capable of supporting the live virtual-simulated training concept, which is the highest point of its goal of “train as you fight” in order to increase its defense and offensive capabilities in operational terms.

In addition, by integrating artificial intelligence capabilities into the National Tactical Peripheral Simulation (NTES), which HAVELSAN is currently using for different projects, it will be possible to provide the pilot with the most ideal planning for changing tactical conditions in the real-time. Starting with the simulator that will be needed for the first flight of National Combat Aircraft (MMU) in the future, it is predicted that there will be a need for different types of flight and maintenance training simulators to be used in training activities after entering the inventory. In that case, full mission simulators, weapon and tactical trainers, flight training devices can be developed. In the meantime, anticipated that infrastructure will be established where training contents for pilots and maintenance personnel can be prepared within the scope of computer-based training and can be given in smart classrooms and via different multimedia devices.
