The Turkmenistan TV Channel shared the commissioning ceremony of the name “Deniz Han” corvette produced by Dearsan for The Turkmen Naval Forces. In August 2019, it was announced by Defence Turk that Dearsan will build a Corvette for Turkmenistan. Defence Turk writer Kozan Selcuk Erkan commented on the development as follows:
“Dearsan’s C92 Corvette is one of the most beautiful products that Turkey has reached in military corvette. We have become a country that can produce highly advanced warships for other countries. Although the warship is called a corvette but the ship is equivalent to European frigates in terms of skill equipment and weapons.”
At the ceremony, it was seen that the GÖKDENİZ Close-in Weapon System (CIWS) and the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Rocket and Launcher System produced by ASELSAN, were integrated into the “Deniz Han” corvette. Turkmen sailors will receive military training aboard the Corvette C92.
