SATCOM integrated Bayraktar TB2S, which had been tested in 2020, was spotted in Libya. Multiple TB2S drones with SATCOM systems are known to be manafactured.

Thanks to sattelite-based command and control, TB2S has the benefit of communication with ground control stations at much further distances compared to LOS-type communication. This, in theory, drastically increases since the UAVs with SATCOM can be operated without dependency on shorter ranged LOS communication of ground control stations.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey: “We are actively using TB2 UCAVs”
Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasly Bodnar, who participated in the Turkiye-based Crimean Foundation’s Crimea: Nine Years Under Invasion conference answered the questions of Defence Turk regarding the allegations about “Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs not being used anymore by Ukraine”.
Bodnar stated that Bayraktar TB2 is being actively used by Ukrainian forces and any issues regarding the acquisition of military equipment from Turkey is being quickly solved.
The First Bayraktar TB2 of Poland made its test flights
The First Bayraktar TB2 UCAV to enter service with Polish Armed Forces made its test flight at Mirosławiec in February 2023. Bayraktar TB2s delievered to Poland have a difference from the other models in the way that they posess additional antennas integrated on fuselage and tail, likely stemming from operational requirements of Poland.
