Bangladesh Army Promotes TRG-300 TIGER Missiles With Ceremony

Bangladesh Army engaged TRG-300 TIGER missile systems developed by ROKETSAN into service at a ceremony.

Chief of General Staff of Bangladesh, Full General Aziz Ahmed, announced that the TRG-300 TIGER Missile System developed by ROKETSAN  delivered to the Bangladesh army by June 2021. With the delivery, the firepower of the Bangladesh Army’s Artillery Regiment is further enhanced with the TRG-300 TIGER Missile System with a range of 120 km. ROKETSAN met the tactical firepower requirements of the Bangladesh army with the missile system it exported. The deliveries were made by sea-shipment.

In Bangladesh, the TRG-300 TIGER missile system delivered from Roketsan was engage at a ceremony organized with the participation of Prime Minister Şeyh Hasina, Bangladesh chief of Staff General Aziz Ahmed and other officials. Recent images released by Defense Technology of Bangladesh-DTB show the TRG-300 Tiger missile system and missile launch vehicles at the ceremonial site. Official adoption of the Roketsan TRG-300 KAPLAN missile system was made at the ceremony.

“I believe this modern system will strengthen the Bangladesh Army and increase the mental strength and confidence of army personnel.”

made statements.

The premier said this at the induction ceremony of Tiger Multiple Launch Rocket Missile System (MLRS) will serve Bangladesh Army’s 51 MLRS Regiment in Savar Cantonment.

According to the information in the 2020 Annual Report published by ASELSAN, it was indicated that the necessary radio deliveries were made to the “MLRS” vehicles designed for the use of the Bangladesh Armed Forces.

The images shared by Ops Room show the components of the Kamaz 65224 chassis 6×6 carrier vehicle and the ROKETSAN TRG-300 TIGER Missile systems. As reported, each battery will consist of 6 launch vehicles in the TRG-300 TIGER Missile system supply of the Bangladesh Army. With this purchase, the Bangladesh Army will be equipped with 3 batteries, in other words 18 launch vehicles. It is also stated that ROKETSAN will receive approximately 60 million USD for exports.

As reported by Defcesa on December 20, 2020, Bangladesh Army deals with Turkish-made aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, attack helicopters, air defence systems, armored vehicles, artillery systems, small and medium-sized warships, electronic warfare systems, radio communication equipment and ammunition.

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, made an official visit to Bangladesh to inaugurate the Turkish Embassy in Bangladesh in December 2020. During his visit, Çavuşoğlu met with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheick Hasina and Foreign Minister AK Abdullah Momen. The trade volume between the two countries would soon reach $2 billion annually, was among the things that were announced at the joint press conference held after the meeting.

TRG-300 TIGER Missile
TRG-300 TIGER Missile (in Turkish: TRG-300 Kaplan Füzesi) provides accurate and effective fire power on high priority targets within the ranges 20 – 120 km.

TIGER Missile can be launched from ROKETSAN TIGER Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) Weapon System, MCL (Multi-Caliber Launcher) Weapon System and other platforms with compatible interfaces.
