Azerbaijan Mi series helicopters continue training and drills with and Su-24 and MiG-29 fighter planes.
According to the combat training plan for the year 2020 approved by the Azerbaijan Minister of Defense, a Flight Tactical Exercises were conducted with the participation of the crews of the MiG-29 and Su-25 aircraft of the Air Force.
During the exercises, the method of destruction of ground targets by mixed aviation groups, intercepting air targets, surmounting air defense and repelling imaginary enemy’s air raid using electronic warfare equipment were developed.
During the exercise, the pilots checked the capabilities of new and modernized electronic warfare systems for electronic suppression of short-range, medium-range and long-range air defense systems, and also improved the skills of using aviation equipment, said Ministry of Defense
Helicopter Training
According to the combat training plan Air Force Mi series attack and transport helicopter units conduct training flights.
During the practical part of the training, helicopters that departed from the base airfield destroy the imaginary enemy’s ground targets on the training ground by combat firing.
Azerbaijan constantly keeps its military capabilities alive due to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which has continued due to the occupation of Armenia.
