ASELSAN signed a sales contract of remote-controlled weapon systems and gunshot detection systems with a NATO member country.
Upon the signature of the contract, the number of countries purchasing remote-controlled weapon systems designed and manufactured by ASELSAN rises to 20.
Up till today, ASELSAN has successfully manufactured and delivered more than 3000 remote-controlled weapon systems.
Editor’s Comments: In 2019 Aselsan Annual Report, it was stated that ASELSAN still continued its efforts to enter into a contract articulating the export of SARP to Hungary, aiming to replace obsolete vehicles and equipments of USSR with the western ones and augment its military technological capacity. In the past, Hungary opted for Ejder Yalçın, a tactical wheeled armoured vehicle produced by Nurol Makine. In the view of this data, it is highly probable that, in the export of the system presumed to be integrated into Ejder Yalçın, the relevant NATO country as party to the contract may be Hungary.
The unnamed system in ASELSAN’s statement is assumed to be SEDA, the gunshot detection system.
