A mobile tower and Mobile Low-Altitude Air Traffic Radar System project contract were signed between ASELSAN and the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB).
ASELSAN announced that a contract worth US $ 52,000,000 and US $ 115,000,000 had been signed in the notice to the Public Disclosure Platform on June, 23, 2021.(KAP). The contract was signed between Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Presidency of Defence Industries(SSB) and ASELSAN. Under the contract, deliveries will be made between 2026 and 2027.
In the statement made by ASELSAN to the Public Disclosure Platform(KAP),
“A contract was signed between Aselsan and the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Presidency of Defence Industries(SSB) for the mobile tower and Mobile Low – Altitude Air Traffic Radar System project, with a total cost of 52,000,000 US dollars and 115,000,000 US dollars. Under the contract, deliveries will be made between 2026 and 2027. This statement was made in accordance with the authorization dated June 22, 2021, obtained from the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Presidency of Defence Industries(SSB).”

Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower Project
Mobile tower and Mobile Low-Altitude Air Traffic (MAIHT) Radar System Project Land Forces Command the aim is to provide low-altitude air traffic control services, to monitor the differences between air vehicles, traffic and flight arms and to ensure flight safety.
Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower
Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower cabinet is mountable on 6×6 tactical vehicles. Mobil Air Traffic Control Tower cabinet can be feeded by the 10 kVA Diesel Generator which is mounted on the tactical vehicle and/or line voltage. In addition, the Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower has a 6 kVA Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for continuous operation of the system in the tower cabinet. Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower can be assembled and disassembled quickly which fi ts the user’s rapid operational requirements. There is an active lightning protection and aircraft warning light at the highest point of the Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower through a telescopic pole.

All radio antennas are located on the Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower which are demountable. All controls of the radios can be done by the 2 Operator Control Units (Voice Communication and Control System Units (VCCS) located in Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower. 9661 V/UHF Base Station Radios can communicate in encrypted, frequency hopping and plain modes. 9671 HF Base Station Radios can communicate in encrypted and plain modes.
