In order to increase the amphibious operations capabilities of the Turkish Navy, the Spanish company Navantia and the Sefine shipyard started joint work.
A meeting was held with the Spanish authorities for the 5th time to evaluate the progress of the LHD ANADOLU project, the variant of the Juan Carlos class LHD produced for the Spanish Navy.
In the statement made on the official Twitter account of the Ministry of National Defense on the subject, he made the following statement:
“The 5th Turkey-Spain Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship (LHD) Executive Committee and Bilateral Cooperation Meeting was held in Madrid/Spain.”

Navy AH-1W Super Cobra and SH-70 Sea Hawk helicopters have completed their first landing on the Multi-Purpose Amphibious Ship LHD ANADOLU. Announcing the development on its official Twitter account, the Ministry of National Defense used the following statements:
“We want to start the day with photos that will make our noble nation proud. The AH-1W Super Cobra and SH-70 Sea Hawk helicopters of our Navy, which you can see in the photos, have completed the first landing on our Multi-Purpose Amphibious Ship LHD ANATOLIA. We wish safe flights and successful missions to our aircraft that will serve on the LHD ANADOLU ship, which we are eagerly waiting to enter into service.”
10 AH-1W attack helicopters from the Land Forces began to be transferred to the Naval Forces to be deployed in LHD Anatolia, which will increase the amphibious operations capabilities of the Turkish Naval Forces once it is put into service. However, the Navy had received its first attack helicopters.
