Within scope of the project developed engine and cross-drive transmission expected to power New Generation Light Armoured Vehicle(YNHZA)s.
Within the scope of New Generation Light Armoured Vehicle Project, increased armour and range, improved command and control systems equiped, having automatic firing systems and active and reactive vehicle protection systems 52 different type in total 2962 unit of wheeled light armoured vehicle(6×6 and 8×8) and tracked light armoured vehicle will be delivered to Turkish Land Forces Command.

Presidency of Defence Industries Head of Engine and Powertrain Systems Department Mesude Kılınç, in Defence Technologies 2021 which is organised by İstanbul Technical University Defence Technologies Club, stated that “We are paying attention to nationalise UTKU powertrain subsystems that develoing new generation light armoured vehicles. Even if it make project more difficult, it is very critical to continuity of our work and creating our own substructure”.
Kılınç also mentioned that a lot of subsystems that has critical role in the engine and transmission has been developing domestically. List of the domestic subsystems as listed;

- Electronic Engine Control Unit
- Torque Convertor
- Hydrostatic Steering Unit
- Electronic Transmission Control Unit
- Transmission Brake System
